Impressions And reviews Google Play Games (Beta)

"Google Play Games (Beta)" that allows you to play smartphone games on a Windows PC; I wish it had gamepad support.

From April 19, 2023, "Google Play Games (Beta)", which allows you to play smartphone games on Windows PC, will be distributed. I tried to see if it would work on my laptop, which is barely above the minimum PC specs, so I'll write my impressions.

Impressions after actually using it

rough impression

Even with a PC that barely meets the minimum requirements, it worked better than I expected. However, it was difficult to play with the highest image quality and crispy slimy.

The impression is that if you adjust the image quality and operation settings to a lower level in the settings of each game, there are many things that you can play normally without being jerky. I'm glad I can still play normally!

It's kind of you to know in advance if the game will run properly on your PC

Some games will show a warning message "May not work properly on this PC". I don't want to put too much load on my PC, so it's nice to have the system judge it in advance.

On the list of games that can be played, there is also an option item "Show only games that work properly on this PC", so it was convenient to exclude titles that seemed to be difficult to operate on my PC and make a list.

Easy to operate!

Also, the operation of the Google Play Games launcher screen is smooth and there is no problem at all.

Compared to the Android emulator software "BlueStacks" that I used before, the operation of the launcher screen and the installed game application itself was lighter overall.

This area is official software.

Each title is optimized for PC operation

The touch panel is the main smartphone game, but the titles compatible with Google Play Games are optimized for PC keyboard and mouse operation.

However, there are some titles that are not fully optimized because they are still beta versions.

As for delays, my PC specs are just barely there, so I felt some delays and jerks when there was other software running at the same time. ... but it's not that bad, and you can play action games normally.

If you have a PC that meets or exceeds the recommended requirements, the delay should not be a problem.
